How To Stream LIVE using Wirecast™:

With Wirecast™ from Telestream®, combined with your Streaming Media Hosting CDN account, you can easily create and broadcast professional webcasts and live events and from any location – all you need is a computer and internet connection. Wirecast™ is a premier desktop live broadcast production tool (Windows and Mac) which supports multiple cameras, screen graphics, chroma key, titles, transitions, and much more. Wirecast also allows for ‘Record-to-Disk’ for on-demand archive playback.

Configure the Wirecast™ Broadcast Settings:

Step 1.
From the menu bar, choose ‘Broadcast’, then ‘Broadcast Settings’.

Step 2.
From the ‘Encoder Presets’ drop-down menu choose one of the Flash Encoder Presets. For webcasts targeting general audiances with users connecting from home (many of which may only have DSL connections), use the 'Flash Medium Bandwidth' setting. Advanced users may additionally select ‘Edit’ to further tailor the encoding settings to your preference.

Step 3.
The ‘Destination’ drop-down menu should update automatically and now read ‘RTMP Flash Server’.

Step 4.
In the ‘Address’ text field, cut-n-paste your ‘Flash Live Publishing Point’ from your Streaming Media Hosting ‘Welcome Message’ emailed to you when your account was opened. It should look something like this:

rtmp://live001.sna1.flash.streamingmediahosting.com/myaccount-live/key=1234

Step 5.
In the ‘Stream’ text field, enter the name you would like to use. An example is ‘livestream’, but you can use most any name you like. This ‘stream’ name is what you will use in your Flash Player on your website to play your broadcast.

Step 6.
To begin encoding and start your live broadcast, from the Broadcast tab go to ‘Network Broadcast’ and then ‘Start All’.

Step 7.
That's it! Fade-in and Enjoy
